Bartown's Sounding Good !


This year’s musical entertainment for the festival promises something for everybody. 

Tuesday night will be the 2nd Annual Songwriters Showcase, the line up for this will consist of Breagh MacKinnon, Blake Canavan, Jon MacAdoo, Johnny Edmunds, and Brett Jerrett in the first set. Appearing in the second set will be Andrew Doyle, Alton MacKinnon, Jason MacDonald, Rob Barrie and Leon Dubinsky.

This event will start at 8:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Br 19 North Sydney. There will be a cover charge of $5.00 at the door and there will be door prizes. All funds go to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Treatment Centre. So come and support a great cause and have fun at the same time.

 

Come on down to Archibald’s Wharf  Wednesday night for the “Sobeys Night Under the Harbor Lights” starting at 7:00 pm. This will be another night of great music featuring local entertainer Breagh Mackinnon as the opener and “Carleton Stone Drives the Big Wheel”, from Sydney, for the headliner.

 

Thursday night will be an exciting one with the world famous “Men of the Deeps” performing at St. John’s Anglican Church in North Sydney.  The show will start at 7:00 pm and run until 9:30 pm. Tickets will be $15.00 and can be purchased at the Bartown Office (794-8589), Buffet’s Office Supplies (794-2317) and Brewer’s Convenience store (794-2394). The Main Stage performance will be held on Friday night, starting at 7:00 pm featuring the critically acclaimed “Slowcoaster”.

This evening is for all ages so bring the kids and enjoy the show. Sponsored by Tim Hortons Inc.

 

 

On  Sunday, the “Atlantic Super Store Concert on the Hill” will take place in the Super Store parking lot located on King Street. The performances will start at 5:30 pm with “Back in Time” and the "The Rockin’ Saints

The fireworks will start at dusk so come and enjoy the end of the festival with a bang.
